Job Description
Join J.P. Morgan’s CIB Global Research team and help shape the future of data-driven research by developing advanced data products, tools, and automation for our analysts and clients.
Job summary
As a Research Data Product Associate, you will partner with Research Analysts and Technology teams to source, transform, and deliver public, third-party, and alternative datasets. You’ll develop analytical tools, dashboards, and automated workflows that empower both internal users and external clients, driving impactful research and insights across the firm.
Job responsibilities
- Define requirements with Research Analysts, source and ingest datasets, and establish ETL pipelines and data-governance policies.
- Contribute to the development of an Analyst Workspace with integrated data feeds and enhanced data-discovery and analysis tools.
- Automate analytics packs and strategize publishing dashboards for external clients; support low-latency equities and options data wrangling and delivery.
- Identify manual tasks and develop scripts and workflows to centralize and automate data operations on the Research Data Platform.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL best practices.
- Experience with dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across functions.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in investment banking or research data platforms.
- Familiarity with data pipeline and ETL technologies.
- Experience with the JPMC Athena platform.
- Knowledge of fixed income, derivatives, economics, and equity market data.
