Job Description
As Lead NLP Engineer in our AI for Operations organization, you will work with colleagues across JPMorgan Chase developing cutting-edge products and systems to serve our customers and internal agents supporting the bank’s operations .
Job Responsibilities:
- Have experience in working in a product-oriented work operating model where design, product management, data science, and engineering work side-by-side in delivering products for customer services.
- Apply deep natural language processing (NLP) knowledge & experience and critical thinking skills and perform advanced analytics with the goal of solving complex and multi-faceted business problems.
- Generate deep insights through the analysis of data and understanding of the bank’s operations that are both external and internal facing and turn them into actionable recommendations.
- Contribute to the full product development lifecycle, including defining the objective and key product deliverables.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Undergraduate and advanced degrees in Computer Science with concentration in Artificial Intelligence, prefer training and work experience in NLP.
- Outstanding programming skillset across multiple programming languages on distributed compute.
- Critical to have - experience in programming distributed machine learning solutions based on big data to solve real world problems (e.g. Classification, Regression, or Recommender Systems).
- Can learn quickly programming in another programming language and seamlessly.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science with concentration in Artificial Intelligence, prefer training and work experience in NLP.
- Extensive experience with big-data environments (e.g. Hadoop, Spark) and code development experience on a cloud development platform.
