Job Description
The Capital Advisory Group (“CAG”) sits within Global Sales & Marketing and is comprised of Capital Introduction & Consulting. We advise hedge fund founders on their capital development and business strategy, while simultaneously covering thousands of large institutional investors around the globe (Sovereign Wealth Funds, Endowments, Foundations, Family Offices, Pensions, etc.). By delivering tailored guidance on capital formation and business strategy to managers, and offering specialized insight on hedge fund strategies to help allocators with their investment decisions, CAG helps both sides build stronger, more sustainable partnerships to drive long-term growth. The consulting team acts as an outsourced management consultant to our hedge fund manager clients on a variety of matters including, but not limited to, building out operational and legal infrastructure. The Capital Advisory Group works closely with the Prime Finance & Alternatives Sales teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Advise hedge fund managers on capital formation strategy and institutional investors on hedge fund manager selection
- Act as a key resource to introduce alternative investment managers to qualified institutional investors, such as endowments, foundations, pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds and various private wealth channels
- Employ rigorous data analysis to draw key insights on industry trends that range from fees & terms structures to industry flows
- Collaborate on innovative capital development strategic solutions for managers by leveraging firm research and advanced data analysis tools
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- 2+ years of relevant full-time work experience, preferably as an institutional allocator investing in alternative investments (mainly hedge funds), capital introduction, and/or hedge fund marketing
- SIE Exam and Series 7 must be acquired
- Understanding of alternative investments
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to synthesize complex subject matter effectively
- Positive, energetic team players that will contribute to a supportive team environment
- The role is ideal for entrepreneurial individuals driven by intellectual curiosity rather than routine process
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
