As the the Product Director within Commercial Real Estate area of the Lending Product organization , you will be responsible for defining and delivering the strategic technical platform for core commercial real estate sub-businesses, specifically Real Estate Banking (REB), Community Development Banking (CDB) and Agency & Institutional Capital Lending. You will take a leadership role in internal processes, including defining strategy, driving tech architecture and budgeting, to ensure business needs are prioritized
Job responsibilities
- Partner closely with business leadership and technology and product partners across the firm, the Product Director:
- Deeply understands the banking, risk management and operations real estate lending lifecycle, and the needs in each of the sub-businesses, spanning prospect targeting, loan and credit product origination, portfolio monitoring, and servicing
- Develop a full assessment of potential platform components, including existing capabilities within CRE, components in use broadly across the firm, and available vendor platforms
- Make fully outlined recommendations for solutions to address specific unmet business needs including platform components, process flows, expected required integrations, and data architecture
- Partner with the business and technology to develop and implement the long term product strategy for the commercial real estate business, leading product development and integrations into existing workflows
- Maintain on-going responsibility for ensuring platform environment meets current-day requirements and evolves with the businesses; potentially product manages discrete platform capacities, including ensuring products continue to comply with updated regulatory requirements
- Monitor market trends with a focus on industry-specific developments and adoption of emerging capabilities
- Take a leadership role in internal processes, including budgeting, to ensure business needs are prioritized
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
- Experience in commercial real estate lending
- Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
- Experience and ability to influence and lead through both direct ownership and within partnership model
- Prior product experience or equivalent such as consulting/internal strategy development and implementation
