Job Description
Join our WHEM team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Margin Services. As a Buy-side Relationship Manager - Associate, you’ll drive client success, optimize revenue, and deliver innovative solutions in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
As a Buy-side Relationship Manager - Associate within our WHEM team, you will manage all aspects of the Buy-side relationship across a portfolio of Margin Services clients. You’ll work closely with Sales and Coverage teams to enhance client profitability, promote sales growth, and provide thought leadership in Margin Services. This role offers the opportunity to develop and execute annual client strategies with a focus on revenue optimization.
Job responsibilities
- Be responsible for a portfolio of key Buy-side Margin Services clients
- Understand all contractual obligations for assigned clients and ensure program is operating within those parameters
- Be a point of escalation for all aspects of the client experience; work with all relevant internal J.P. Morgan parties to ensure proper focus and timely resolution of any issues
- Work directly with Margin Services Product Management and Trading Services Sales to identify revenue optimization opportunities
- Develop and execute an annual client strategy and calling plan; key focus on revenue optimization
- Work closely with Securities Services partners across WHEM (such as Platform Sales)
- Maintain oversight of the clients’ program parameters and profitability; constantly monitor the risk factors involved in managing the program within the agreed client parameters
- Understand and communicate market and regulatory developments (e.g. Uncleared Margin Rules), identifying potential revenue opportunities or impact and acting in a consultancy/advisory capacity to the client
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong knowledge of Margin Services and the drivers and developments in the industry
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with internal product partners across regions
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, particularly to a senior audience
- Excellent analytical skills, with understanding of profit drivers in Margin Services
- Strong communication skills and ability to be a team player with a strong work ethic
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize across client coverage and internal partners
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Qlik Sense, and Tableau
