Job Description

The Special Research group within Global Research develops deep insights into macro factors and emerging industry and technology spaces for our senior executives. As an Analyst in New York, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment, partnering with experts across the firm to deliver commercial and strategic perspectives on a wide range of topics. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to build analytical, communication, and strategic skills while engaging with stakeholders across the organization.

Job responsibilities
• Conduct detailed macro, industry, company, and regulatory analysis
• Evaluate technologies, industry, company, policy, and investor dynamics across multiple sectors
• Rapidly gather data from various sources and execute analysis to test key hypotheses
• Track trends across emerging industries and areas of senior management focus
• Create clear, fact-based storylines that highlight insights and implications from research
• Formulate impactful, management-ready content for presentations
• Communicate key arguments and insights effectively to senior stakeholders
• Build relationships with Economists, Research Analysts, and other stakeholders
• Expand team connectivity to relevant subject matter experts
• Contribute to and lead interviews, group, and senior-level discussions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication, presentation, and team skills
• Strong background in economics and keen interest in financial markets
• Close attention to detail and ability to deliver to tight deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and ability to rapidly learn new concepts
• Confident user of Excel, MSOffice suite, and market databases
• Advanced knowledge of Excel; experience with programming languages like Python beneficial

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Minimum 1-year post-graduate work experience in a financial, government, or policy-focused organization
• Excellent academic background from a top-tier institution
• Prior experience working with senior stakeholders beneficial
