Job Description
As a Senior Product Associate in Small Business Merchant Services, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success.
- Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
- Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
- Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers
- Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle
- Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
- Contributes to end to end ownership for the successful delivery of product features, including partnering with a commercialization lead on downstream implications for marketing, sales, servicing, and other client-facing personnel
- Proactively advocate and implement the vision and strategy of digital onboarding services through the development of scope documentation, use cases, product requirements/epics/stories to support development to ensure the product resonates with clients and deliver value
- Assists with building the product framework and tracks the key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
- Partners closely with product and engineering teams to help deliver against the roadmap, sequencing the capability delivery for ongoing launches that optimize the experience over time
- Navigate an ambiguous environment, using strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to drive clarity and direction
- 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle
- Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
- Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
- Demonstrate excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships
- An obsession with customer research, product fidelity and user experience
- Proven Experience working across multiple business areas and/or functions to deliver results
Resilient self-starter who thrives in an ambiguous environments to drive results by synthesizing data point across multiple disciplines (e.g., customer feedback, usage metrics, sales feedback)
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast pace environment
- demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Previous experience and proven success with tech innovation and digital transformation initiatives
- Master’s or Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field
- Experience partnering with sales, engineering, marketing and design teams to bring products to market
- Experience working in payments / merchant services
