As a Control Management Associate in the Securitized Product Group, you will play a critical role in maintaining a robust and sustainable control environment for the trading business. You’ll be responsible for identifying and escalating issues, partnering with business leaders to ensure timely remediation, and supporting comprehensive risk analysis and control processes on the trading floor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and perform end-to-end analysis of the business’ risk and control environment to identify gaps and weaknesses.
- Determine root causes of control breaks and recommend remediation actions.
- Ensure controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and support a proactive risk and control culture.
- Perform ongoing analysis of program-related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) and develop ad-hoc reports.
- Assist with development and documentation of Risk & Control Self-Assessment mapping.
- Participate in end-to-end process walkthroughs and deep dives with business units.
- Develop business procedures aligned to firm policies and design front office controls.
- Support business control governance and front office supervision management.
- Oversee front office supervision systems development and exception management.
- Facilitate supervisory attestations and policy development.
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure timely remediation of identified issues.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 3 years of experience in the financial services industry with a background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience on the trading floor or in a similar dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
- Familiarity with risk management protocols and strategies.
