This is a highly visible role that will encompass strategic analysis, the oversight of commercial deal negotiation, as well as leading through change.

As an Executive Director on the Consumer & Community Bank Corporate Development Luxury and Dining Business Development team, you will hold an important leadership role for travel, dining and airport lounge categories, as well as the high net worth (HNW) customer segment. Specifically, this position will lead a team focused on expanding and evolving the firm’s HNW partnership and engagement strategies and premium dining and hospitality experiences. This is a dynamic function that requires a combination of skills including strategy, project management, stakeholder management, negotiations, and more.

The Corporate Development team at JPMorgan Chase is broadly responsible for all business development and strategic partnerships across our Consumer & Community Banking lines of businesses, including the Consumer Bank, Business Bank, Card Services, Home Lending, and Auto. Corporate Development is at the heart of many of the most important strategic decisions at Chase and these partnerships are critical to the firm's ability to execute on its core strategies and meet the needs of customers in a rapidly changing financial services ecosystem.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of business development and strategic partnerships focused on the HNW and dining/hospitality segments
  • Serve as a trusted thought leader and valued counsel to executive business owners responsible for these lines of business.
  • Cultivate and build external relationships and foster strategic partnerships that drive mutual value
  • Lead a high-performing team responsible for each of the verticals and serve as coach and mentor to deliver on business priorities
  • Manage relationships with cross-functional partners from deal ideation through execution, including finance, legal, risk and controls
  • Monitor external environment for competitive developments and potential partnership opportunities and effectively assess and secure net new partnerships

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong financial acumen with proven ability to manage deal economics and business models
  • Deep experience negotiating long-term, complex commercial deals
  • Ability to influence at senior levels externally and effectively navigate matrixed organizations
  • Prior people leadership experience with comfort managing teams within unstructured environments
  • 10+ years or prior business development / partnership leadership experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Prior premium Card experience and/or luxury experience
  • MBA or advanced degree
