Job Summary
As an Analyst – Flow Index Trading in the Flow Index Trading desk, you will manage daily trading book activities, including risk management, customer pricing, and trading of related products. You will serve as a key liaison with sales teams, assist in pricing trades, and support execution of client and internal orders. You will also help identify trading opportunities, develop strategies, and coordinate with Middle Office and Quant teams to ensure efficient operations.

Job responsibilities

  • Assist in pricing trades and execution of orders from clients and internal trading desks
  • Assist in managing risk, evaluating position and performance under various scenarios
  • Learn to identify trading opportunities and develop new trading strategies for the desk and clients
  • Respond to Middle Office emails, including T+1 trade inquiries and corporate actions
  • Monitor market flows to evaluate incoming inquiries and provide context to sales
  • Work with Quant team to administer Robo trader for pricing and hedging
  • Perform routine book maintenance, such as closing pins and early exercise
  • Assist in running and investigating daily P&L in coordination with Middle Office and IT

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Attention to detail and aptitude to quickly learn the business
  • Understanding of financial markets and intellectual curiosity to explain market moves
  • Strong analytical and technical background to price derivative products
  • Advanced Excel and VBA skills to develop spreadsheet solutions for the business
  • Ability to follow pre-established desk procedures around risk, pricing, P&L, and execution
  • Provide accurate responses and feedback on day-to-day activities with complete transparency
  • Strong communication skills to comprehensively discuss orders, executions, and market activity with clients

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in index trading or derivatives markets
  • Familiarity with trading systems and automation tools
  • Experience collaborating with sales, quant, and middle office teams
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
