The Corporate Internal Communications Executive Director role leads internal communications for two corporate functions: Internal Audit and Compliance, Conduct & Operational Risk (CCOR). Those teams play essential roles in keeping JPMorganChase strong and resilient, providing independent challenge and insight that help the firm navigate a complex global regulatory environment; maintain a strong control environment; and grow in a responsible manner.
As a Corporate Internal Communications Executive Director within Corporate Communications you will work with the Chief Audit Executive and the Chief Compliance and Operational Risk Officer and their management teams to help their employees understand how their work makes a difference for shareholders, customers, clients and communities – and amplify those narratives for their internal stakeholders. You will also partner with Human Resources and various employee councils to enhance our inclusive, collaborative culture. serve as a trusted advisor to the firm’s senior leaders and other communications managers about how to reinforce the firm’s culture and keep employees informed about the firm’s priorities and progress. You will deliver exceptional value for shareholders, protecting and advancing the reputation of the firm and inspiring others to succeed in the fast-paced, high expectations environment of one of the world’s leading financial institutions. Job responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing counsel on communication best practices, change management and crisis response.
- Develop and implement comprehensive internal communications strategies that align with business goals.
- Master and advance key internal communications channels, including broadcast email, intranet, Microsoft Teams communities, town halls and leadership offsites.
- Champion the use of large language models to enhance communications and deliver innovative, efficient solutions at scale.
- Collaborate with key internal partners – including other Communications teams, Business Management and Human Resources – to effectively support the two organizations.
- Measure and track key metrics – including employee opinion survey scores and channel engagement rates – to monitor results and identify areas for improvement.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 10+ years of experience in corporate internal communications
- Strategic communication: Ability to develop and implement cohesive and effective communication strategies that resonate with key audiences. Excellent writing and editing abilities and verbal communications skills, with demonstrated ability to influence C-suite leaders
- Leadership: Passion for motivating and coaching matrixed direct reports
- Storytelling expertise: Demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics and develop narratives that support business goal
- Generative AI skills: Knowledge of best practices for leveraging large language models for human-in-the-loop content creation and brainstorming
- Project management: Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Industry knowledge: In-depth understanding of the financial services industry, particularly regulatory consideration
