Job Summary
As a Vice President in the Connected Commerce Banking Payments team, you will leverage your payments industry expertise and customer-centric mindset to implement a centralized governance strategy across the end-to-end payment lifecycle, including Zelle, RTP, ACH, Wires, and more. You will collaborate with stakeholders in Product, Operations, Analytics, Legal, Risk, and Controls to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and deliver an enhanced, sustainable framework that drives continuous improvements in process integrity and customer experience.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as the service manager across the payment lifecycle, defining and monitoring SLAs, KPIs, and service health metrics to ensure optimal performance and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with stakeholders in Payments teams to document end-to-end roles and responsibilities, ensuring compliance with payment rail network rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with payment teams at the program level to identify and realize strategic synergies between organizations.
  • Design and execute initiatives to strengthen the risk and control framework for Chase’s payment products.
  • Deliver comprehensive leadership updates on the status and progress of key initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Conduct assessments to identify vulnerabilities within the end-to-end framework and develop actionable solutions.
  • Partner with analytics, legal, risk, controls, and compliance teams to craft and implement control oversight activities.
  • Ensure the horizontal framework adheres to Chase's policies and standards, maintaining compliance with industry regulations and network requirements.
  • Monitor product initiatives spanning across the organization, driving successful and compliant outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating issues and action plans impacting the Banking Payments organization.
  • Support the achievement of strategic goals by driving Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to enhance organizational performance.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Deep understanding of payments-related regulations and network requirements.
  • Exceptional skills in managing complex projects and engaging stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, including experience presenting to leaders and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, formulate recommendations, and communicate insights clearly.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix management organization.
  • Proficiency in managing complex and fast-moving issues, demonstrating resilience and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude that fosters collaboration and drives collective success.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working with Payment Network Operators (NACHA, FedWire, TCH, etc.).
  • Ability to create a vision and actionable roadmap.
  • Experience working with agile-enabled teams, fostering adaptability and innovation.
