DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Buy and sell securities, derivatives, and/or swaps in investment and trading firms. Provide financial services to businesses and individuals in Latin America (LATAM) and North America in an effort to support and expand the Americas Synthetics business. Advise customers about stocks, bonds, mutual funds, derivatives, swaps, and market conditions both in LATAM and North America. Leverage existing relationships with clients to identify and close market gaps, and develop innovative products with a particular focus on major markets and clients in LATAM. Use Portuguese language to interact and build meaningful relationships with clients and stakeholders in Brazil. Leverage Portuguese fluency in managing external trading relationships with local Brazilian clients and collaborating with LATAM sales, trading, and risk teams. Structure swap trades to foster client relationships, using understanding of local conventions and pre-existing relationships with regional hedge funds and financing institutions, and develop new client relationships. Provide market insights in Portuguese, and assist in developing Portuguese-language content for clients and senior management. Work closely with the trading team to strategically position the trading book, execute financing trades, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Expand the business footprint, particularly for clients operating globally in equities via derivatives, leveraging relationship depth, local trust, and LATAM cultural familiarity. This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel to various client sites and internal JPMC offices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Trader, Equities Swaps Trading/Sales, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills: equity financing or equity derivatives covering clients and trading in Latin American (LATAM) equity markets; developing relationships with regional hedge funds and financing institutions in LATAM; and executing equity in swaps in LATAM, including navigating cross-currency nuances and risks. This position requires any amount of experience with the following skills: coding; analytics; financing markets across swaps, repo, and futures markets; financial resource management relating to various regulatory and risk capital for a business; designing and developing interactive Excel reports with advanced functionalities, including data analysis add-ons, pivots, VBA, and VBScript; performing data manipulation, structuring, and query optimization using Python, with a focus on automating processes and managing databases for daily analyses; trading and executing stocks in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, U.S., and Canada; low touch algos and trading systems; and developing commercial relationships with clients. This position requires knowledge of the following: LATAM culture; LATAM business conventions; and local regulatory environment, market structure, and key players in all major markets in LATAM including Brazil, Mexico, and Columbia. This position requires oral, auditory, and written fluency in the Portuguese language. This position requires successful completion of the NFA Swaps Proficiency Requirements.
Job Location: 270 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10017. This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel to various client sites and internal JPMC offices.
Full-Time. Salary: $300,000 - $350,000 per year.
