As a Product Manager for Small Dollar Lending in Business Banking, you will contribute to the transformation agenda, to meet changing market demands and customer expectations. You will partner closely with risk, finance, and product development to shape the Product P&L (Profit and Loss). We're seeking a strategic collaborator who thrives in the details. You have a proven track record of successfully adding value and/or leading initiatives and projects end-to-end, exhibited innovative designs for digital-first customer experiences, and a keen analytical mindset for problem solving. Your tenacity to build strong relationships with a cross functional group of stakeholders and passion for small businesses will kindle a collaborative spirit to help guide the Small Dollar Lending business into the future.
- Lead the design and delivery of a new lending product and construct that expands our credit portfolio, improves customer engagement, and meets evolving customer and market needs.
- Evaluate and size new product opportunities in line with portfolio strategy and risk appetite. Analyze current product offerings, customer behavior and pricing dynamics to inform product design.
- In partnership with Finance, develop and validate financial models and P&L(Profit and Loss) projections with product economics that support sustainable growth.
- Partner with Credit and Risk to define credit frameworks and decisioning parameters tailored to the new construct.
- Design and execute a pilot program with measurable success criteria across key metrics.
- Collaborate with Development Teams: Engage with development and design teams to set strategy, clarify requirements, evaluate feasibility, provide feedback, and ensure the product meets small business needs
- Ensure strong controls, compliance, and governance are embedded through every phase of development.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders to gather and socialize unique small business needs and lead successful coordination of initiative from discovery to execution and monitoring
- Possess knowledge or interest of small business lending and acquisition, including digital/mobile acumen and portfolio management initiatives
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Strong background in product management, strategy, or lending, ideally with experience developing new products or features from concept to launch.
- Proven ability to develop, communicate, and gain buy-in for product strategy across stakeholders.
- Exceptional collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally with partners to deliver outcomes.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to influence, align, and sell ideas within a complex organization.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, bringing structure and clarity to new initiatives.
- Data analysis and experience using data analytics and insights to solve problems
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a track record of initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility, and creative problem-solving
- Ability to develop and articulate well-thought-out business cases and their financial impacts
- Some knowledge of risk management and risk metrics is a plus
- Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and ability to balance innovation, profitability, and risk.
- Skilled in financial modeling, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
