J.P. Morgan Wealth Management (USWM) helps investors achieve their long‑term financial goals through four channels: Chase Wealth Management (CWM), J.P. Morgan Advisors (JPMA), J.P. Morgan Personal Advisors, and J.P. Morgan Self‑Directed Investing. Together, these channels serve clients nationwide with approximately $1.1 trillion in assets under management (AUM) and about 6,000 advisors across roughly 5,000 branches and offices.
As an Associate in USWM focused on Affluent Strategy, you will manage initiatives that acquire, grow, and deepen relationships with affluent clients. While you will primarily support Chase Wealth Management, a rapidly growing, client‑facing field sales organization - you will also develop a deep understanding of all Wealth Management distribution channels and how they partner with Chase’s Consumer Bank to deliver a consistent, high‑quality client experience. This role will partner closely with the J.P. Morgan Private Client organization to help scale their new bank offering for affluent clients nationwide.
This role drives the end‑to‑end referral operating mechanisms between Chase’s Consumer Bank and Chase Wealth Management, which deepens client relationships across lines of business and ultimately improves the client experience. You will have frequent exposure to senior leadership and collaborate with key stakeholders across Chase Wealth Management, Chase Consumer Bank, and J.P. Morgan Private Client. Success in this role requires a strong operational mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
Job responsibilities
- Ensure the affluent strategy is aligned to JPMorgan Wealth Management’s business priorities and client needs
- Design and implement a scalable referral operating model between J.P. Morgan Private Client and J.P. Morgan Wealth Management as Private Client scales nationwide
- Create field-facing resources (Playbooks, FAQs, Training materials) that clearly articulate the value proposition of J.P. Morgan Private Client for affluent clients
- Lead initiatives that strengthen day‑to‑day partnerships between advisors and client‑facing partners (Relationship Managers, Private Client Bankers, Wealth Planners) by clarifying roles and responsibilities
- Regularly engage with field leadership across CWM’s ~200 markets to incorporate feedback to continuously improve programs as we scale
- Balance the priorities and business objectives of both the Private Client business and the Wealth Management businesses
- Identify risks and escalate issues quickly and appropriately, helping to resolve with a solution-focused mindset
- Build and manage success metrics reporting, coordinating performance updates for key stakeholders, and recommending opportunities for improvement
- Build trust and rapport through all interactions to deliver the right outcomes for the business; driving banker, advisor and client mindset across all strategic initiatives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 2+ year of experience in financial services or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex topics succinctly and tailor communications for different audiences
- Self-motivated with track record of high achievement; committed to continuous learning and professional development; strong work ethic
- Leadership and relationship-building skills required to work with functional partners, the field salesforce and subject matter experts
- Critical thinking skills and capacity to quickly learn and develop new strategic frameworks in a complicated and highly regulated environment
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management; adept at navigating complexity and achieving goals without direct control over resources.
- Ability to influence project teams and produce clear, well-designed, engaging field-facing tools and training; able to adjust style and content for audiences from executives to client-facing employees.
- Sound judgement; detail-oriented and highly organized; strong prioritization skills with ability to adapt to ever-changing business environment
