DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Conduct comprehensive screening of debt issues to assess potential liability management prospects in the U.S. bond and loan market for JPMC's high-yield and high-grade corporate clients. Participate in the structuring and execution of liability management transactions. Provide the syndicate and capital markets teams with analysis on liability management implications for companies of interest. Communicate with legal and financial advisors about liability management alternatives and ideas for credits. Advise companies' management teams on liability management strategies and ideas to efficiently manage their capital structure. Analyze legal documentation of debt issues (loans and bonds) to understand key covenants and lender protections in the event of a potential liability management transaction, and liaise with external parties such as issuers, counsels, and third-party agents. Assist the team with creating pitch materials. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to client sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Liability Management, Credit Trading Analyst/Associate, Credit Financing Analyst, Equity Research Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Performing financial cashflow modeling and valuation of bonds, loans, and large datasets, including sensitivity analysis; Presenting and explaining bond and loan buyback analysis to clients; Fundamental credit analysis, including valuation work and complex recovery analysis to assess the up and down profile of diverse investment opportunities in the loans, bonds, and distressed credit universes; Analyzing complex legal documents including bond indentures, leveraged loan credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, collateral and security agreements, lender agreements, and U.S. Bankruptcy Code and procedure to assess, identify, synthesize, and communicate the investment implications and trade opportunities to internal and external senior stakeholders; Assessing the risk-reward profile of credits covered in a real-time market environment, including assessment of upside and downside, position sizing, and relative value versus other risks in the market; Building relationships and dialoguing with external senior client stakeholders and legal advisors; Bloomberg functions, including DES, YAS, SWPM, IRBS, FIT, PX1, and DDIS.
Job Location: 270 Park Ave., New York, NY 10017. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to client sites.
Full-Time. Salary: $200,000 - $225,000 per year.
