Vice President, Product Controls - Open Banking

The Open Banking product team is leading the industry in enabling customers to easily and securely share their data across financial institutions and FinTechs, holistically manage their finances, and seamlessly control these permissions through Chase’s Security Center
As a Vice President, Product Controls within Open Banking, you will lead day-to-day management of the control framework for Open Banking product, including control inventory management, control exception monitoring, issue and action plan management, executive escalations, reporting, management of internal audit and external review. As a critical member of the Open Banking Product Operations team, you will partner across the Open Banking Product Team and key stakeholders across the bank, to identify operational, customer experience and control related improvement opportunities and assist in driving the appropriate solutions to deliver product excellence. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. We are seeking a detail oriented, team player, who will drive Product Controls excellence for Open Banking across all of our client facing products. The successful candidate must have experience with both controls and regulatory processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance control inventory and associated processes to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and firm policies
- Identify control gaps/weaknesses and recommend actionable solutions
- Partner with Data & Analytics to develop, manage, and automate KPIs and exception reports to strengthen control assurance and monitor overall product health
- Manage relevant product procedures and ensure adherence with firms policies and standards
- Serve as point of contact for audit and controls related inquires
- Act as point of contact for coordinating issues and action plans for wires product team
- Understand wires product and assist in driving Objectives and Key Results (OKR)
- Report and present progress to leadership
- Manage stakeholders expectations and meet critical targets
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 7+ years product management / controls experience
- Experience managing a successful control environment, including audits and external regulatory reviews
- Ability to manage complex and fast moving issues
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret structured data, develop recommendations and communicate them effectively and professionally (both verbal and written)
- Ability to influence and successfully collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to meet objectives
- Ability to productively work in a matrix management organization
- High-level understanding of relevant Open Banking regulation
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in Finance and a highly regulated environment preferred
- Recognized thought leader within Open Banking
- Demonstrable experience working on a regulated product or feature set
