As an AML/KYC Senior Associate in the Alternative Funds Team within the Transfer Agency Department, you play a vital role in protecting our clients and the wider financial community. You will work alongside a dedicated team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Your contributions help ensure our operations remain robust, compliant, and client-focused. Job responsibilities

  • Review and update investor Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing information and documentation
  • Assist with onboarding and cyclical reviews of investor accounts on Transfer Agency systems
  • Verify team members’ work and provide constructive feedback
  • Identify and escalate potential money laundering or reputational risks through transaction monitoring and screening
  • Participate in delivering excellent client service, including addressing technology and regulatory needs
  • Assess and enhance current procedures to improve operational efficiency and risk mitigation
  • Validate Know Your Customer files to ensure compliance
  • Support training initiatives for team members
  • Manage email communications and respond to queries promptly
  • Oversee the AML/CFT framework within Transfer Agency, ensuring comprehensive and compliant practices
  • Build strong working relationships across business-aligned and central functions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years AML/CTF experience in the financial services industry with exposure to a globally diverse investor base
  • Strong understanding of applicable AML/KYC regulations related to risk assessments and investor onboarding
  • Demonstrated operational and risk awareness, with attention to detail and escalation skills
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities
  • Experience in coaching or leading team members
  • Ability to work independently and proactively within a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Commitment to following policies and procedures, with a focus on escalation of potential issues
  • Proven ability to coordinate delivery across multiple functions and regions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Direct experience in Transfer Agency operations
  • Knowledge of alternative investment funds
  • Expertise in investor AML/KYC onboarding and ongoing maintenance
  • Experience supporting training and development initiatives
  • Familiarity with U.S. and Cayman fund regulatory requirements
  • Professional qualifications in compliance or financial crime prevention
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and risk mitigation
