Job Summary
As a Vice President in the Regulatory Reporting Policy team within Corporate Finance, you will play a pivotal role in guiding Firmwide regulatory reporting practices. You will provide technical interpretation, support internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. You’ll help establish and deliver training frameworks, coordinate policy implementation, and liaise with regulators. In this role, you will be empowered to drive change, foster collaboration, and contribute to the Firm’s reputation for excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development of regulatory reporting technical trainings
- Drive initiatives supporting Firmwide regulatory reporting training frameworks
- Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory reporting requirement changes and implementation
- Offer technical interpretation and guidance on regulatory reporting issues, documenting complex transactions and new products
- Coordinate assessments of proposed changes to U.S. regulatory reports and assist with feedback to regulators, including comment letters
- Collaborate with regulatory reporting teams to implement new rules or regulation changes
- Participate in policy implementation initiatives and provide updates to the Regulatory Reporting Policy & Implementation Committee
- Define, develop, and maintain Firmwide regulatory reporting policy and guidelines
- Liaise with regulators on questions requiring formal interpretations
- Develop and maintain internal policy interpretation and implementation FAQs for regulators
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Accounting degree required
- Five years of experience in the banking or capital markets industry, with expertise in US GAAP interpretation
- Knowledge of banking and capital market products, including loans, deposits, equity investments, debt securities, derivatives, and securities financing transactions
- Experience at Vice President level or equivalent
- Strong interpretation, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and interface with senior management and staff
- Consistently delivers timely, high-quality work with a sense of urgency
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate US GAAP or regulatory reporting requirements
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex reporting rules and instructions
- Experience establishing and meeting critical deadlines, tracking, and driving execution
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Big Four experience a plus
- Prior regulatory reporting policy interpretation experience a plus
- IFRS interpretation expertise a plus
