Join our dynamic privacy team and play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing JPMorgan Chase’s privacy incident response program. As Vice President Data Privacy Lead - Firmwide Privacy in JPMorgan Chase’s Firmwide Privacy Office, you will work closely with LOB-aligned incident response teams and key stakeholders in cybersecurity, legal, compliance, and risk management. You will identify challenges and execute enhancements to make our program more effective, protect our stakeholders, align with the firm’s goals, and meet global data privacy and breach law requirements.
You will collaborate across the firm to drive improvements, monitor and analyze trends, and implement proactive measures to enhance the organization’s privacy posture. Your role will support audits, assessments, reporting, and projects that strengthen the firm’s preparedness and response to privacy incidents.
Job responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of standards, procedures, and controls for the firmwide privacy incident response program to effectively manage risk and ensure compliance with privacy laws
- Monitor and analyze trends to identify areas for improvement and implement proactive measures to enhance the organization's privacy posture
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to identify and implement improvements to the way the firm identifies, assesses, and responds to potential data breaches
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in privacy incident response and data protection, ensuring the organization adapts accordingly
- Support projects to enhance the firm's preparedness, reporting, and metrics
- Support audits and assessments related to privacy incident response and data protection
- Prepare reporting on privacy incidents and incident response activities for senior management
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding updates and enhancements to the firmwide incident response program
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience with a focus on privacy incident management and privacy governance
- Proven experience developing and implementing privacy policies, standards, and procedures
- Knowledge of US and global data privacy and breach laws
- Ability to work independently and manage relationships across functions
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in privacy at a financial institution
- Familiarity with the three lines of defense model
- Privacy certifications such as CIPM or CIPP
- Experience implementing and using RadarFirst
