As a Vice President and Quant Analytics Manager within Card Data & Analytics, you will lead the Small Business Card Analytics team, supporting the Small Business Card line of business. You will drive the campaign management lifecycle, deliver actionable insights, and partner directly with stakeholders to design, implement, and track strategic initiatives. Your leadership will ensure data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across all aspects of the Small Business Card portfolio.

You will provide thought leadership in advanced analytics, manage large datasets, and communicate complex results to senior leadership. You’ll coach and mentor junior team members, foster a collaborative analytics culture, and serve as a subject matter expert for data-driven decision-making. Your work will span marketing, sales, finance, and business functions, delivering tactical and strategic insights using state-of-the-art tools.

Job responsibilities

  • Over 7+ yrs experience in a data related field. Manage and analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources to develop actionable business strategies and insights
  • Provide thought leadership and technical expertise in advanced analytics, including predictive modeling, clustering, machine learning, statistical forecasting, optimization, and simulation
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, assess data quality, recognize statistical anomalies, and connect data findings to business processes
  • Lead end-to-end campaign management, including targeting, sizing, business case support, modeling, list execution, reporting, and test design/analysis
  • Own program management, process development, and key stakeholder communications with limited oversight
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance analytics culture
  • Communicate complex analytical results clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leadership
  • Deliver tactical and strategic insights across marketing, sales, finance, and business functions using visualization and reporting tools
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for data-driven decision-making and opportunity identification
  • Partner with internal and external clients to solve quantitative business problems and optimize performance
  • Collaborate with senior leaders within Consumer & Community Banking to drive business strategy and performance

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Operational Research, Mathematics, Engineering, Econometrics, Statistics, or related discipline), or Bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to explain complex mathematical concepts and influence business partners
  • Proven experience delivering analytics and insights to multiple levels of management
  • Exposure to forecasting, planning, and business strategy functions
  • Hands-on experience with data mining, analytical methods, and business strategy implementation
  • Proficiency in data analysis languages (Python, SAS, R, etc.) and Big Data technologies (Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
  • Advanced analytics, interpretive, and problem-solving skills
  • Technical understanding of data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes
  • Experience with dynamic and interactive reporting tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to convey complex information simply and clearly to senior business leaders

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with small business or card portfolios
  • Familiarity with marketing campaign management and optimization
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Consulting orientation and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring and developing analytics talent
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
