Description
Reporting to the National Head of Practice Management Consulting and Advisor Development in JPMorgan Wealth Management, the Business Manager provides strategy and support and will be responsible for various aspects of the business and its initiatives.
The role requires excellent communication skills, ability to adapt quickly and flexibility with constantly changing environments. The individual will manage in a rapid pace of change, be detail oriented and possess a strong ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders at all levels of the firm.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prepare materials for regular business update reviews, including gathering performance data, synthesizing key insights, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and timely.
- Organize and facilitate team meetings by setting agendas, tracking action items, preparing presentations, and following up on deliverables to ensure alignment across the Practice Management team.
- Maintain and update the “always-on” business narrative by regularly refreshing talking points, success stories, and performance highlights for use in executive communications, client meetings, and internal updates.
- Serve as a liaison between the Leadership team and cross-functional teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication of priorities, initiatives, and progress.
- Monitor ongoing practice management initiatives , track milestones, and provide regular status updates to leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and achievements.
- Coordinate offsites, prepare updates and insights for greater Solutions and Practice Management organization, prepare for weekly practice management leadership calls and all-calls, completion of monthly initiative tracker, manage updates to competitive landscape
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of project or business management experience within financial services
- An outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently (both verbally and written); ability to apply quantitative and strategic approaches and work well in cross-functional teams
- Expert in Microsoft PowerPoint and executive presentation building skills
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills (both written and verbal); ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources
- Strong judgement and ability to appropriately handle sensitive and sometimes confidential information. Deliver thoughtfully and expeditiously, while always remaining calm
- Strong ability to prioritize work; strong organizational skills and detail-orientation, comfort juggling a dynamic and ever-changing work
- Demonstrated track record of a high level of initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating ability to work in unstructured, dynamic environment
- Self-motivated & a commitment to acquiring new knowledge and skills; seek to continuously improve standards of work, address opportunities for development
- Excellent academic credentials; Bachelor’s degree
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Previous wealth management experience preferred
