As a Payments Operations Business Manager, Executive Director, within the commercial and Investment Banking team, you will lead a team that brings clarity to performance, financials, and capacity across Payments Operations. You’ll partner closely with Operations, Finance & Business Management, and Data & Analytics to deliver executive-ready analysis and reporting. Your work will strengthen financial controls, enhance forecasting, and inform strategic decisions that impact clients and the firm.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor to Payments Operations and F&BM leadership, shaping and communicating strategy, projections, and trends through executive-level presentations
- Design monthly and quarterly business and financial reporting packages that convey results clearly and succinctly for varied audiences
- Coordinate deliverables across business management, finance, operations, and product teams to support priorities and transformation initiatives
- Analyze complex, large-scale datasets to produce insights and executive-ready materials; translate analysis into clear narratives and visualizations (e.g., PitchPro+)
- Lead budgeting and forecasting for headcount and direct expenses in partnership with Operations and F&BM teams
- Build and enhance capacity models across Payments functions and support activity-based costing to enable accurate allocations and client profitability insights
- Strengthen financial controls and data integrity to enable confident, timely decision-making by senior stakeholders
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred
- Significant experience leading diverse teams and cross-functional initiatives in Business Management, Operations, or Consulting
- Advanced presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for executive audiences
- Strong analytical skills with experience transforming large datasets into actionable insights; high attention to detail and logical problem-solving
- Excellent project management, prioritization, and time management skills in fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and influence stakeholders at all levels; outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with a high degree of ownership and independence, driving outcomes with quality and speed
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience with capacity modeling and activity-based costing in complex operations environments
- Proficiency with executive presentation tools and data visualization; comfort creating executive-ready materials (e.g., PitchPro+)
- Background in payments or financial services operations, with knowledge of performance metrics and cost drivers
- People leadership experience with a focus on coaching, development, and building high-performing teams
