DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Provide advice and deliver creative corporate finance solutions to clients by independently investigating clients' public and private information, third-party company and industry research, data aggregation platform insights and competitor public filings to craft informed viewpoints and narratives for
review by senior bankers. Drive execution processes in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) for corporate and asset related acquisition or divestiture engagements as well as strategic debt and equity capital markets transactions, including debt issuances and follow-on offerings. Determine and direct next steps at all points of the execution process to accomplish transaction milestones such as conducting timely investor communication, drafting of investor materials including investor presentations and financial models, drafting of legal documents and coordinating client stakeholders and third-party advisor input. Execute, ideate, and prepare pitches, review and formulate financial analyses, prepare and present internal committee memoranda, and present to clients. Evaluate, validate and apply valuation, accounting, M&A modelling, tax structures, and corporate finance technical concepts. Execute, ideate and prepare materials that effectively and compellingly market clients' businesses to investors and to prospective clients. Provide direction and determine the appropriate response to all transaction execution communications and serve as the primary point of contact to facilitate coordination between clients, senior team members, product partners, lawyers, accountants, potential investors and all other parties involved. Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless communication and alignment of priorities as well as working closely with JPMC's Investment Banking coverage and product teams across various geographies. Support the team and bank-wide initiatives including training and developing analysts and recruiting and retaining top talent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field of study plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as Investment Banking, Investment Banking Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: designing and developing interactive Microsoft Excel financial and operating models and performing analytics on raw datasets to develop strategic advisory insights using advanced functions including vlookup, index match,
data analysis add-ons, and pivots; Presenting insights from Microsoft Excel financial and operating models, financial information and transaction process considerations to C-Suite client stakeholders; building and refining advanced financial analyses in Microsoft Excel, including discounted cash flow,
leveraged buyout, trading benchmarking, M&A combination models, and go-forward financial operating projections; managing and monitoring confidential Virtual Data Rooms and facilitating ongoing dialogue between clients and their counterparties; producing and advising clients on formal M&A process
documents including investor communications, process letters, and bid letters; interpreting financial statements and company filings to produce valuation considerations; orchestrating the execution of investor presentations, transaction process updates, valuation and Board or C-Suite materials in support of the transaction lifecycle; conducting transactions for M&A, shareholder activism, debt capital markets, and equity capital markets in the industrials, consumer retail, business services, and media sectors.
Job Location: 270 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10017. This position requires up to 25% domestic travel to JPMC client sites.
Full-Time. Salary: $225,000 - $225,000 per year.
