As a Product Development Vice President, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategy. You will collaborate closely with teams across the organization to support and grow our Prime Finance business with a focus on Securities Financing. You will work across business and technology teams to deliver innovative solutions, optimize capital and liquidity, and drive modernization in a rapidly evolving vendor landscape.
Job responsibilities
- Support trading strategies to optimize capital and liquidity, maximize financing efficiency, and reduce funding charges, with a strong understanding of balance sheet management and constraints.
- Identify opportunities for automation, modernization, and optimization, as the securities financing vendor landscape shifts towards integrated, real-time platforms and moves away from fragmented, legacy systems.
- Drive and maintain the product strategy for securities financing, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a strategic partner to business sponsors, identifying opportunities to grow market share and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with external partners to enhance process efficiency and adapt to evolving market and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, presenting product strategy, advising on market structure changes, and communicating developments to stakeholders.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, prioritizing projects for maximum commercial and risk-reduction impact, and ensuring disciplined execution.
- Protect the firm and clients by resolving control issues, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting process and architecture improvements focused on control, capacity, and risk.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Work experience in securities lending, cash financing, or prime brokerage.
- Extensive product knowledge and expertise in product development, specifically within financing solutions.
- Strong understanding of the securities financing vendor landscape, and the market drivers for its evolution.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory environment, with special focus on U.S. regulations—including SEC and FINRA rules—that impact financing for U.S. broker-dealer entities and U.S. institutions.
- Ability to partner with business stakeholders to determine business goals and develop products/processes that support those goals.
- Strategic thinker with experience designing end-to-end solutions and re-engineering business and operational processes.
- Strong analytical skills, including process mapping, flow-charting, and data analysis, to make recommendations and drive product objectives.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in product development, structuring, or strategy within prime brokerage, securities lending, repo, or related financing businesses.
- Strong understanding of financing markets, collateral management, and regulatory environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
