The US Equity Investment Specialist team sits within the US Equity business within JPMorgan Asset Management. The team oversees nearly $890B in client assets for institutions and individual investors throughout the world. This is a client facing team supporting our ~$210B US Equity Disciplined Core franchise that works with all client types and represents strategies in a variety of wrappers.
As an Equity Investment Specialist on the Equity Investment Specialist team, you will represent investment teams and strategies to internal partners, prospects and existing clients. You will be responsible for positioning/messaging product with the ultimate goal of driving business both in terms of new business and providing superior client service. To do this effectively requires a strong partnership with portfolio managers and other investors. The Investment Specialist role is independent, but it sits within a team that shares a common goal. You will work with product strategy, product development and other internal groups to oversee existing products and new product initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Represent investment teams and strategies to internal partners, prospects and existing clients.
- Position/message product with the goal of driving new business and providing superior client service.
- Partner with portfolio managers, research analysts & distribution.
- Assist in the entire client lifecycle: from initial Request-for-proposals, to preparing meeting materials, to generating quarterly deliverables.
- Work with product strategy, product development and other internal groups to oversee existing products and new product initiatives.
- Understand the end-to-end process for client on-boarding including negotiating Investment Management Agreements, Fee Schedules, Client Reporting and Investment Guidelines.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 3+ years of experience and significant capital markets experience and a strong understanding of the financial service industry are required.
- Bachelors degree
- Series 7 & 63
- Equity experience or a strong desire to be in and learn about the equities markets
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel
- Strong understanding of U.S. equity products and services and ability to assess risk
- Strong written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong team player
- Strong understanding of financial services industry and capital markets
- Strong understanding of investment performance, performance composites and attribution and understanding of advisory/model delivery relationships
