Product Manager on the Card Authorizations Team

As a Vice President and Product Manager on the Card Authorizations team, you will play a pivotal role in driving end-to-end execution for the product's vision and prioritized roadmap agenda while architecting business solutions and leading the team to align with strategic objectives. You will partner with product, technology, and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of roadmap items and the integration of business architecture principles, while providing leadership and direction to the team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Area Product Owner to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery.
  • Architect business solutions that align with strategic objectives, ensuring that product development is integrated with business goals and processes.
  • Conduct detailed business analysis and technical analysis to identify and document business requirements, processes, and solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with Product, Technology, Data, and Business partners, setting clear expectations and providing excellent written and verbal communication. Work closely with engineering leads and technical directors.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of area product vision, strategy, roadmap, technical, and operational aspects.
  • Develop and maintain business architecture and capabilities models that reflect the product’s strategies and goals.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure that technology solutions align with business needs and capabilities.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, drive consensus, and analyze business needs.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization remains competitive.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to business architecture, processes, and business analysis findings.
  • Strong focus on risk and controls, partnering with PO’s/APO’s/Agility Leads/Designers to confirm impacts and scope across teams.
  • Monitor Jira hygiene and enforce Jira standards, tracking IT and non-IT work.
  • Responsible for managing product roadmap to align with the product budget and ensuring team availability.
  • Release management and communication, proactive identification, and management of issues.
  • Support the Agility Lead in driving continuous improvement across the team to drive efficiencies and improve the overall effectiveness of agile.
  • Manage dependencies, including inside and outside of the product area.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Product Analyst, Business Architect, or Business Analyst, with 7+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, systems, and technology, with experience in banking and payments domain.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed business analysis and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the firm.
  • Experience with business modeling tools, methodologies, and business analysis techniques.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, with expert knowledge in all business processes across an entire line of business, as well as expertise in other lines of business and technology disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of firmwide risk and controls, and global and line of business project and program management standards and methods.
  • Experience working with high-performing teams in complex program execution, with a strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods.
