As a Technology Business Manager in Commercial & Investment Bank Finance & Business Management (F&BM), you serve as a trusted partner to a pillar of the Technology organization. You translate financials into actionable insights, steward budgets and demand, and strengthen our control environment. You help prioritize investments and provide senior leaders with clear visibility into performance and risk.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Technology leaders to drive transparency, accountability, and disciplined financial management.
  • Facilitate monthly business reviews, presenting financial performance, risks, challenges, and demand management insights.
  • Monitor and report on project completions, reinvestment activities, unfunded requests, infrastructure and vendor expenses, productivity metrics, forecasting, and business allocations.
  • Assist in planning and executing workforce and location strategies.
  • Advocate for and utilize standardized financial reporting in partnership with Technology Finance leadership.
  • Coordinate with Business and Technology stakeholders to drive execution of technology delivery roadmaps.
  • Develop and present monthly and quarterly governance updates, summarizing key achievements, risks, and issues to senior leadership.
  • Record and manage financial risks and opportunities; clarify allocations and variances related to Technology costs for Front Office business units.
  • Contribute to Business Controls forums and committees, highlighting technology risk, control initiatives, and production stability.
  • Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and optimize tools and processes to boost efficiency and results.
  • Assess and prioritize investments by leveraging relationship insights, analyzing competitive positioning, and incorporating industry research.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 4 years of experience in business management and/or strategy in financial services or a technology organization.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, including expertise in evaluating large data sets and effectively presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Track record of independently managing multiple projects, ensuring timely communication and appropriate escalation when necessary.
  • High attention to detail, personal integrity, and professional maturity.
  • Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner to Technology, Business, and F&BM team members.
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience supporting technology organizations within a large financial institution.
  • Familiarity with technology financials, including cost allocations, forecasting, demand management, and vendor spend.
  • Exposure to workforce planning and location strategy.
  • Experience preparing materials for senior leadership and quarterly governance forums.
  • Knowledge of technology risk and controls and production stability topics.
  • Experience optimizing processes and toolsets across multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfort using data visualization or reporting tools to standardize and scale insights.
