Job summary
As a Securities Services Operations Resiliency Manager within JPMorganChase, you will lead the business response for major incidents and crisis events impacting Securities Services in the Americas. You will coordinate regional incident management efforts across Operations, Product, and Technology, ensuring timely communications, governance, and action tracking. You will assess impacts to systems, third parties, sites, and staff, and escalate appropriately to senior stakeholders and crisis leadership. You will ensure strong handoffs across regions for incidents extending beyond US close of day. You will partner to drive post-incident reviews and remediation to completion, strengthening resilience over time.
Job responsibilities
- Coordinate the regional Business Incident Management response across Securities Services Operations, Product, and Technology.
- Invoke and facilitate the Incident Management Team (IMT), including meeting logistics, agendas, communications, and action tracking through completion.
- Represent Securities Services Operations in major incidents led by other lines of business when there are cross-impacts.
- Monitor site and staff events, assess essential service impacts, and support the regional business response as needed.
- Exercise judgment on escalation to business leaders, the resiliency organization, and regional crisis management leadership, as appropriate.
- Ensure timely communication and handover to APAC and EMEA counterparts for incidents that extend beyond US close of day.
- Partner with Technology and Operations to ensure post-incident reports and after-action reviews are completed, with remediation tracked to closure.
- Maintain incident management control capabilities, including IMT plan reviews, membership reviews, training, and exercises.
- Produce monthly management information reporting on incident volume, impacts, themes, and completion of regional control activities.
- Lead or support regional and global incident and crisis management projects and initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Securities Services, including a strong understanding of Custody, Fund Services, or Transfer Agency.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships across business and technology stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex issues into clear, accurate messages for senior stakeholders.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage deadlines and deliver results independently.
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations, including collecting, analyzing, and communicating time-sensitive information.
- Strong prioritization and execution skills in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
- Flexibility to support disruptive events that span regions and time zones.
- Ability to work independently and multitask while maintaining attention to detail and follow-through.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in incident management and/or crisis management (training and coaching can be provided).
- Working knowledge of key technology platforms supporting Securities Services.
- Understanding of Securities Services client segments and behaviors.
- Familiarity with custody market infrastructure, including agent banks and financial market infrastructures.
- Understanding of regulatory obligations relevant to Securities Services.
