We are seeking a dynamic events professional to support programming for affluent and ultra-high-net-worth clients within J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. The Event Strategist will set the vision, objectives, and engagement strategy for events across the Midwest and East Regions. Collaborating with team members, you will develop a regional calendar of events focused on delivering measurable outcomes. This role requires a strategic mindset, blending event marketing expertise with hands-on planning and execution. Event types include thought leadership forums, networking receptions, and a variety of other engagements.
As an Event Strategist, you will drive the vision and engagement strategy for events targeting affluent and ultra-high-net-worth clients in the Midwest and East Regions for J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a robust regional event calendar, ensuring each event aligns with business objectives and delivers meaningful outcomes. Leveraging your event marketing acumen, you will oversee the planning and execution of diverse events, including thought leadership sessions, networking receptions, and bespoke client experiences. Your leadership will be instrumental in elevating the client experience and supporting business growth through impactful event programming.
Job responsibilities
- Proactively engage with field teams to discuss event options, topics, and timing.
- Strategically develop and communicate event vision, onsite engagement plans, and experience design.
- Thoughtfully curate topics and experiences aligned with business objectives and audience needs.
- Diligently manage formal budget approvals and business case processes.
- Consistently own field communications, treating all event messaging as marketing touchpoints.
- Systematically conduct post-event follow-up to capture outcomes and collect data for analytics.
- Critically analyze event data and feedback to inform future strategy and demonstrate ROI.
- Collaboratively align with planners to ensure logistics support event goals.
- Rigorously oversee event branding and messaging for consistency.
- Continuously monitor industry trends and competitor events to enhance strategy.
- Methodically develop annual event calendars and strategic roadmaps for the region.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in event management or event strategy roles.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and the ability to respectfully challenge assumptions.
- Consistently approach events as a marketing engine, creating and implementing measurable tactics.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Take ownership and exercise sound judgment during both planning and on-site event execution.
- Maintain regional knowledge of venues and event trends in the Midwest and East.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- Exhibit excellent organizational and operational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Prioritize tasks and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including outside regular business hours and travel as required (typically Monday to Friday, 1+ times per month).
