JPMorgan Wealth Management -Head of Strategic Initiatives & Alternatives (Investments & Advice) — Executive Director
The Head of Strategic Initiatives & Alternatives within JPMorgan Advisors (JPMA) Investments & Advice, will lead the Strategic Initiatives team and be accountable for alternatives business development across JPMA. The role partners closely with advisors, regional leadership, and cross-line-of-business stakeholders to grow and scale coverage for HNW/UHNW clients.
Responsibilities
Strategic Initiatives Leadership & Coverage
- Define and implement the team’s operating model, priorities, and coverage approach
- Deliver high-touch advisor and client engagement on select HNW/UHNW opportunities
Alternatives Business Development (Enterprise Accountability)
- Set and drive the Alternatives growth strategy across JPMA in partnership with product/program stakeholders and field leadership.
- Establish goals, measurement, and execution cadence
Platform Strategy & Evolution
- Identify advisor/field needs and advance strategic additions and enhancements
- Bring forward insights from client engagement and the field to inform platform prioritization
- Governance leadership: Chairs the Investment Council, setting agenda, decision frameworks, and execution follow-through on strategic priorities
Complex & Sensitive Client Engagements
- Provide leadership guidance on special situations, including complex book transfers and sensitive client matters
Recruiting Support
- Partner with JPMA to support recruiting, including articulating investment and alternatives capabilities to advisor prospects
External Presence & Industry Engagement
- Represent JPMA at relevant industry forums
- Participate in public-facing engagements, including completion of media training when required.
- Maintain a strong culture of risk management and compliance, and operate in accordance with firm policies, standards, and supervisory expectations.
Controls & Compliance
Required Qualifications, Skills & Capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree and FINRA Series 7
12+ years of financial services and leadership in wealth management, investments, product/platform strategy, and/or capital markets
Demonstrated success building and leading teams and scaling business development/distribution initiatives
Ability to operate in a matrix environment, chair senior forums, align stakeholders, and drive decisions to execution
Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or other advanced degree
- CFA and/or CFP
