As a Product Manager in Middleware Platforms Team, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. You also partner closely with engineering, architecture, and cross-functional stakeholders to plan platform-first capabilities, manage dependencies and releases, and align quarterly roadmaps to strategic goals. - Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
- Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
- Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
- Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
- Partners with the Product Manager to identify new platform product opportunities through user research and discovery that reflect customer and market needs
- Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new platform features on the overall product experience
- Develops and maintains a healthy forward-looking backlog; publishes quarterly roadmaps and summaries to ensure alignment with strategic goals and provide clear vision for delivery. Writes requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
- Leads end-to-end product delivery processes including intake, dependency management, release management, product operationalization, delivery feasibility decision-making, and product performance reporting; escalates opportunities to improve efficiencies and coordination
- Works with engineering and architecture to drive solution design for capabilities and think platform/capability-first while developing products
- Works with cross-functional stakeholders to manage timelines and dependencies, surface blockers/risks in a timely manner, and ensure controls, risk, and compliance requirements are effectively managed
- Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product and platform metrics and uses insights to influence roadmap/backlog. Creates presentations and documentation (including feature release updates), communicates with senior leadership, and promotes product features to align with strategic goals
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- 5+ years of experience in product management, including platform product management experience
- Proven track record of maintaining and prioritizing backlogs; ability to write clear requirements, epics, and user stories
- Strong knowledge of data analytics and building/prioritizing backlogs in a data-driven manner
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and across functional teams
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities; able to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced, results-driven environment; customer-focused with the ability to turn insights into action
- Proven stakeholder management skills across product, technology, agility, design, and data teams to develop robust product delivery plans and execution mechanisms within an agile framework
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Experience building and communicating quarterly roadmaps and executive-ready product updates
- Experience partnering with engineering and architecture on platform/capability-first solution design
- Experience leading cross-functional dependency management, release management, and product operationalization
- Experience defining and reporting platform/product metrics to influence prioritization and roadmap decisions
- Familiarity working within environments with strong controls, risk, and compliance requirements
