The HR Data and Analytics team at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for accelerating the firm’s data and analytics journey. This includes ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of the company's data, as well as leveraging data to generate insights and drive decision-making. The team develops and implements solutions that support the firm’s commercial goals by harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to develop new products, improve productivity, and enhance risk management.
As a Strategy & Project Management Senior Associate within the HR Data and Analytics team, you will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, driving operational excellence and supporting the execution of the team’s vision. Your role will blend program management, business governance, and executive support, ensuring the team’s initiatives are aligned with business strategy and delivered efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the HR Data and Analytics leadership team, supporting decision-making and business planning.
- Lead the planning and execution of complex, cross-functional projects, utilizing data analytics and digital proficiency to deliver results aligned with business strategy.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities in partnership with the Chief of Staff.
- Oversee business governance processes, including risk management, issue resolution, and change control, ensuring compliance with firm-wide guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and tools to drive operational excellence.
- Prepare and present regular status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to senior management, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Define and monitor objectives, key results, and key metrics, reporting progress to leadership and recommending course corrections as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and steer efficiency initiatives, including automation to streamline workflows. Identify and implement best practices across the organization.
- Coordinate and facilitate leadership meetings, offsites, and strategic planning sessions, ensuring alignment and follow-through on action items.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, managing a diverse team, delegating tasks effectively, and encouraging innovation and creative problem-solving.
- Develop and implement initiatives supporting the HR Data and Analytics people strategy to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across internal functions, acting as a liaison to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 3+ years of financial services experience, with proven expertise in managing or leading complex projects or programs from inception to execution.
- Advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills in a project management context.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with and influence senior management.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize key tasks effectively.
- Experience managing a diverse team, with a focus on delegation, team building, and fostering an inclusive environment.
- Good judgment, maturity, and poise; energetic, self-motivated, and effective under pressure.
- Strong leadership skills, fostering a culture of continual feedback and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Demonstrated credibility in supporting the management of a business or business function.
- Demonstrated experience working with data, analytics, deployments, and AI/BI tooling.
- Proficiency in using software applications, digital platforms, and dashboard tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
- Ability to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions.
- Experience integrating artificial intelligence solutions to enhance project outcomes and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Experience implementing automation to increase operational efficiency.
- Experience supporting executive communications, business governance, and strategic planning at the leadership level.
