DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Systems Architect, Programmer Analyst, IT Project Leader, or in a related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Designing and developing distributed application following architecture principles encompassing scalability, load balancing, resiliency, and observability using container orchestration and infrastructure management tools including Network Management tools, Server Management tools, and Cloud Management platforms; Working with Architecture and design systems; Server related technologies that use Docker containers and Linux platform; Using docker containers and Linux Platform; Working with development tools including Bitbucket Repo, shell scripts, CI/CD orchestration, and pair programming for Agile software development and delivery; Working with Tech forums on Industry-wide technology trends and software best practices for functional and operational DevOps processes; Utilizing programming languages such as Groovy or Python for generic utilities required for day-2 operations, including ongoing application management and maintenance and optimization tasks post production deployment; Analyzing and creating service and data model diagrams using Visio, and confluence for business flows; Designing and Developing microservices enabled with multithreading to deliver high performance and highly available systems using Java and Spring Boot libraries; Improving application resiliency during failure scenarios by utilizing Retry policies and circuit breaker techniques provided for Java in Resiliency frameworks library; Using automation of CI/CD pipeline and integration with scans and rollback strategies for timely delivery of high quality software releases; Utilizing front-end technologies such as AngularJS to deliver highly responsive web and native user interfaces; Managing business expectations including incidents, requests, problems, and changes related to applications; Ensuring software quality by performing Automated testing for unit integration; Component and Contract testing utilizing Junit, Cucumber, and Blazemeter tools; Integrating systems with Observability and alerting dashboards such as Dynatrace, Graphana, and Splunk Alerts for Monitoring activity, performance and responding to alerts; Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure using OAuth security software; Performing static code and vulnerability scans for maintaining software updates utilizing SonarQube and Raven tools and integrating with CI/CD pipeline; Improving service integration and async processing with a stream processing platform such as Kafka for async events; Performing data structuring and query optimization for data retrieval from data stores using SQL Prepared statements and Caching Techniques; Preparing performance reports using Blazemeter for Restful API; and Fine tuning API performance using Caching and Async event processing and Multi-threading techniques.
