Merchant Services is the global payment processing business for JPMorgan Chase & Co processing over $2.2 Trillion in annual transaction volume. As a Product Architecture Lead in the MS Platform Product organization, you will drive the architectural strategy and design for our platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. You will partner with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions that support growth and innovation. You will foster a culture of collaboration, challenge traditional approaches, and mentor others to achieve excellence in product architecture.
Job responsibilities
- Lead the architectural vision, strategy, and roadmap for the MS Platform Product.
- Oversee the design and development of platform features, ensuring scalability, reliability, and reusability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Guide the product team in best practices for architectural design, prototyping, and solution generation.
- Monitor industry trends and conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for platform differentiation.
- Manage architectural risks and ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in platform architecture, processes, and methodologies.
- Mentor and coach team members on architectural principles and product delivery.
- Own platform performance and invest in enhancements to achieve business objectives.
- Advocate for customer-centric design and innovation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Communicate architectural decisions and rationale to stakeholders across the organization.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 8 years of experience delivering product architectures, technology applications, or projects.
- Extensive knowledge of product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics; Extensive experience and knowledge of creating Platform as a Service (PaaS) platform solutions.
- Proven ability to influence adoption of architectural best practices, including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
- Experience driving change and managing stakeholders across multiple functions; Strong expertise in platform architecture, cloud technologies, and scalable systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Recognized thought leader in product architecture or platform product/engineering; Experience with MS Platform Product or similar enterprise platforms.
- Experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams; Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management practices.
- Experience with using AI for both efficiency gains in product development and end product usage; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Track record of delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions.
