As a Product Manager in AWS Data Analytics Services, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. In this role you own the strategy and lifecycle for AWS Analytics capabilities (Athena, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift) that serve every line of business, firm-wide. You combine deep platform expertise with AI/ML fluency to shape the roadmap, define requirements, and drive successful launches of the most cutting-edge technology in Financial Services. Using your strong interpersonal instincts to be the connective tissue between engineering, business stakeholders, and executive leadership, you keep the Product team aligned and ensure our customers get reliable, scalable, and well-governed data products. Job responsibilities

  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Develop a product strategy vision by leading discovery efforts that uncover solutions to customer problems and integrate them into the roadmap.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on Data & AI/ML technologies; particularly AWS Analytics Services (Athena, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift); providing guidance and insights to internal teams and customers.
  • Use your Project Management skills to be the “glue” of the Product team, enabling us to stay cohesive and champion benefits
  • Own and continuously refine the product backlog by defining detailed requirements, creating unambiguous specifications, and prioritizing features based on customer impact, business value, and engineering supportability.
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Client Engagement, and Solutions Architect teams to develop go-to-market strategies and support product launches.
  • Build the framework to measure and champion the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management

  • Proven professional experience with AWS Analytics Services (e.g. Athena, EMR, Glue, Lake Formation, Redshift)
  • Familiarity with GenAI use cases (e.g., LLM, RAG, Model Context Protocol, Agents, AI Gateway)
  • Proven ability to lead product lifecycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with a track record of operating independently and influencing without authority across engineering, business, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Proven strong experience with Snowflake, Starburst, Databricks, or similar cloud-based Data Analytics platforms
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical capabilities into business value
