Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end operational lifecycle of ontologies, from deployment to maintenance
- Develop and manage processes for ontology versioning and quality assurance
- Partner with software engineers and data architects to ensure ontologies are scalable and aligned with enterprise architecture and security standards
- Monitor ontology usage, performance, and adoption
- Evaluate, recommend, and stand up operational tools, automation solutions, and best practices to streamline ontology management
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in data operations, data engineering, or a related technical role
- Experience managing data models, metadata, or semantic assets in production environments
- Familiarity with data governance and version control processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey subject matter expertise to non-technical audiences
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize conflicting deadlines, and adapt to ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with ontologies, taxonomies, or knowledge graphs in an operational context
- Familiarity with graph databases, data integration tools, and cloud data platforms
- Experience supporting AI/ML or analytics pipelines in a large enterprise environment
- Knowledge of financial industry data standards and regulatory requirements
