As a Vice President on the Corporate Development – Travel Partnerships team within Consumer & Community Banking (CCB), you will lead business development and end-to-end deal execution for the Chase airport lounge portfolio. You will manage a pipeline of airport lounge opportunities, work closely with an external operating partner, and drive complex commercial negotiations (including airport/ lease negotiations). You will partner with internal stakeholders across product, legal, finance, brand, design & construction, and operations to deliver Chase’s premium airport lounge product and experience, while building and expanding relationships with airport authorities and continuing to evolve and enhance Chase’s lounge strategy in a dynamic and competitive industry.

Job responsibilities

  • Drive lounge growth strategy and pipeline: Build, prioritize, and manage a multi-year pipeline of lounge opportunities across airports; developing relationships
  • Lead airport and lease negotiations: Drive negotiations with airports and relevant authorities from initial outreach through LOI/term sheet, redlines, execution, and close. Deep understanding of lease terms and commercial structures and associated negotiation levers.
  • Manage external partner relationship: Serve as a day-to-day leader with the operating partner—aligning on pipeline, diligence, development scope, budget, and delivery timelines; drive effective governance, KPIs, and escalation.
  • Run end-to-end deal execution: Coordinate diligence and translate requirements into commercial and contractual terms, and ensure clear decisioning and documentation.
  • Oversee development economics: Build and defend business cases for each lounge (capex, rent/MAG, operating costs, demand assumptions, utilization, benefits impact). Partner with finance to ensure disciplined returns and scenario analysis.
  • Partner with design & construction teams: Understand design intent and key cost drivers; evaluate construction budgets, cost estimates, value engineering options, and schedule risks; ensure handoffs from deal to build are complete and actionable.
  • Navigate complex stakeholders: Lead cross-functional alignment across product, marketing/brand, risk, controls, legal, finance, procurement, operations, and customer experience; communicate tradeoffs and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Market and competitive intelligence: Track airport lounge landscape, premium card benefits trends, and competitor footprints; identify whitespace opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure execution within JPMC policies and controls: Partner with risk, legal, compliance, and procurement to ensure deals follow required processes, approvals, and documentation standards.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in business development, corporate development, partnerships, or real estate/airport commercial negotiations with end-to-end ownership of complex deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead lease/contract negotiations
  • Strong financial and analytical capability: comfort building and reviewing models articulating key value drivers and recommendations.
  • Proven program/project leadership: ability to manage multiple workstreams with clear timelines, risks, and decision points.
  • Executive-ready communication skills: able to write crisp memos, negotiation briefs, and stakeholder updates; confident presenting executive recommendations and tradeoffs / game theory analysis.
  • Demonstrated project and program ownership, and proactive solution-oriented mindset. Comfort operating in ambiguity and fast-paced environments.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Direct experience with airport commercial environments.
  • Experience with hospitality / lounge / premium customer experiences, including service standards and operational requirements.
  • Familiarity with design & construction processes and cost drivers.
  • Financial services, card benefits, or loyalty/consumer value proposition experience.
  • Experience managing or partnering with an external operator.
