DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions and raising capital through equity and debt issuances. Build detailed financial models and execute transactions from the initial pitch stage to transaction close. Review valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow, trading comparable, transaction comparable, leveraged buyout analysis, and business financial combination. Develop long-term relationships and strategies to help institutional and corporate clients grow and innovate their business. Refine financial models and valuation analyses. Use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to conduct financial analyses and create presentations for institutional investment banking clients. Utilize data sources such as Capital IQ, FactSet, and Bloomberg to support day-to-day functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Investment Banking, Investment Banker, Asset Management, Investment Manager, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Investment Banking, Investment Banker, Asset Management, Investment Manager, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: supporting corporate clients across corporate finance and business strategy decision making; analyzing, preparing, and presenting valuations for senior management and corporate development teams; analyzing and preparing discounted cash flow models and business valuations, and presenting to investment and corporate development teams; analyzing public comparables and precedent transactions; performing ability- to-pay analysis that incorporates accretion and dilution impacts; performing regression-based valuation analysis; analyzing, preparing, and presenting valuation models to investment teams as well as corporate and financial sponsor clients; reviewing merger contracts of public transactions; performing analysis on financial statements using GAAP accounting standards, including income statements, balance sheets, statements of cash flows, and MD&A; creating projections of key financial statement line items under different scenarios; reviewing and synthesizing capital requirements for financial institutions, including evaluating a company's capital position and constraints within capital optimization; data room software management for diligence processes; using Bloomberg Terminal and S&P Global Market Intelligence to query financial data; working with capital structures of balance sheet and capital light business models to incorporate analyses into valuations, financing transactions, and investment decisions; analyzing notes to financial statements and assessing a company's financial performance, including growth, profitability, margin profile, debt capacity, and liquidity for valuation analyses.

Job Location: 270 Park Ave, New York, NY 10017. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to JPMC and client sites.

Full-Time. Salary: $285,000 - $285,000 per year.
