Description

As the Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships on the Community Business Strategies (CBS) team within Business Banking, you will lead end-to-end execution across key partnerships—translating strategic priorities into clear plans, operating rhythms, and measurable outcomes reporting. CBS brings together business-focused initiatives across Coaching for Impact, Not-for-Profit, and Government segments, integrating partnership development, program delivery, stakeholder engagement, and impact measurement.

Reporting to the Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships, you will help advance national CBS priorities by amplifying segment capabilities and initiatives for stakeholders, enabling partnership opportunities, coordinating cross– Line of Business (LOB) alignment, and operationalizing external stakeholder engagement. This role connects partnership execution to Business Banking growth and firmwide small business initiatives, ensuring approved opportunities translate into well-managed engagements that deliver measurable outcomes for clients and communities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Convert priorities into executable workplans, timelines, and delivery cadence; manage milestones, dependencies, risks/issues, and stakeholder inputs to drive on-time, high-quality delivery and measurable outcomes.
  • Support identification, evaluation, and activation of internal and external partnership opportunities aligned to CBS priorities and Business Banking/Chase for Business goals; develop evaluation materials and decision recommendations.
  • Maintain a structured intake and prioritization approach for opportunities (programs, partnerships, and initiatives), including decision criteria, scoring, and documentation standards; track pipeline health and identify opportunities to scale, replicate, or streamline based on results and stakeholder feedback.
  • Drive alignment and follow-through across a matrixed stakeholder set (e.g., Corporate Responsibility, Supplier Diversity, Commercial Bank and other partner teams) to execute approved engagements and resolve blockers.
  • Build engagement plans with external organizations, capture and synthesize themes/feedback, and translate insights into actionable execution plans, deliverables, and updates.
  • Produce concise, senior-leader-ready narratives and materials that communicate priorities, progress, impact, risks/trade-offs, and decisions needed (including sustainability reporting insights where relevant).

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across a matrixed, cross-functional organization while leading end-to-end program execution across multiple concurrent workstreams (stakeholder alignment, risk/issue management, delivery governance).
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including the ability to manage large datasets, synthesize insights, and create executive-ready storytelling materials.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling narratives for senior audiences.
  • Strong execution orientation with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams; proactive, collaborative self-starter.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strategy, consulting and/or client-facing experience supporting small businesses and/or Not-for-Profit organizations, including developing partnership opportunities (sourcing/structuring), defining value proposition and impact, and delivering programs/advisory and relationship management.
  • Experience designing or supporting structured intake and prioritization for new opportunities (programs, partnerships, and initiatives), including criteria, scoring, and documentation standards.
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered productivity tools to streamline program execution (planning, reporting, documentation) and accelerate executive-ready analysis and storytelling, consistent with data handling, risk, and compliance standards.
