As a Product Manager in Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO), Data Governance, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. In this role, you will help accelerate JPMorganChase’s data and analytics journey by delivering data governance capabilities, including next-generation tooling and AI-for-data solutions that improve data quality, integrity, and responsible use.
The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of the firm’s data and for leveraging that data to generate insights and drive decision-making. Within Data Governance, you will collaborate closely with business, technology, and control partners to define strategy and roadmaps and to deploy solutions into production. You will balance timeliness with quality under tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities and cross-functional partnerships. This role is well-suited for someone with strong curiosity and a passion for data, data governance, and AI-for-data innovation.
Job responsibilities
- Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
- Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
- Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
- Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
- Drives the development of strategy and roadmaps for data governance initiatives including next generation of Data Governance tooling and AI-for-data capabilities
- Collaborates with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and engineers to understand use cases, requirements, dependencies, and constraints, critically assessing proposed solutions
- Ensures end-to-end relevance to stakeholder needs, from gathering business requirements through successful delivery in partnership with technology teams
- Communicates complex ideas effectively to collaborators and senior leaders using precise terminology and relatable examples
- Balances timeliness with quality under tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities and cross-functional partnerships
- Partners with control functions to ensure governance solutions meet policy, risk, and compliance expectations for regulated environments
- Establishes feedback loops and iteration plans to incorporate user insights and continuously improve product outcomes
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- 5+ years of experience developing enterprise-wide data, data governance, and/or AI strategy for large, complex organizations
- Understanding and hands-on experience building agentic AI systems within regulated or compliance-driven environments
- Experience partnering with engineers and SMEs to translate ambiguous problem statements into clear, prioritized requirements and roadmaps
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts and results to both technical and business audiences
- Demonstrated ability to work in highly collaborative environments with business, technologists, and control partners to deliver production solutions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail, motivated by complex analytical problems
- Demonstrated experience defining and monitoring product success metrics and using data to drive decisions
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Experience with data governance domains (e.g., data quality, metadata/catalog, lineage, controls, stewardship, and/or policy enablement)
- Experience delivering enterprise platforms or tooling used by diverse stakeholder groups across functions
- Experience working in financial services or another highly regulated industry, partnering with risk/compliance stakeholders
- Familiarity with AI/ML product delivery patterns, including responsible AI considerations and model risk/controls expectations
- Experience operating products at scale with a focus on resiliency, stability, and operational excellence
- Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across cross-functional teams
