The Lending & Capital Strategy team focuses on the Global Corporate Bank lending portfolio and capital implications across JPMorgan Chase’s full suite of products. The team is responsible for the origination and strategy around the retained lending book, which includes general relationship lending, trade financing, and transaction-based acquisition financing.

As a Vice President within the Global Corporate Banking Business Management team, you will lead the Americas Lending & Capital Strategy Business Management team, focusing on optimizing the balance sheet. This requires careful analysis, strategic planning, governance, and client discussions regarding the allocation of JPMorgan Chase’s capital and liquidity resources.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the Americas Lending & Capital Strategy team, supporting the global strategic agenda and tracking key metrics.
  • Develop expert knowledge of regulatory treatment and economics for lending products within the Commercial and Investment Bank.
  • Build dynamic partnerships with bankers and global functional teams, including Risk and Finance & Business Management.
  • Provide guidance on credit facility profitability and ensure returns are accurately represented to the Balance Sheet Committee.
  • Optimize balance sheet usage by evaluating portfolio and product-level returns to inform capital allocation strategies.
  • Facilitate lending product distribution as a liaison and trusted advisor to public and private-side groups.
  • Forward collaborative projects focused on efficiency and process improvement.
  • Work with Technology to enhance the Loan Return Calculator.
  • Create dashboards and presentations to showcase key information for Finance & Business Management and bankers.
  • Develop analytics and assess portfolio trends, including product insights and future business potential.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 7.5 years’ experience in business management, financial analysis, strategy, or banking.
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate complex results to senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Product knowledge in lending, capital, and liquidity requirements.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to lead initiatives and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Alteryx, Tableau, and data science skills are a plus.
