Join Connected Commerce Product Experience & Technology (PxT) Finance to lead a small team responsible for portfolio expense management and investment prioritization. The PxT Finance organization partners with Technology, Product, and Finance stakeholders to manage portfolio economics, align investments to business outcomes, and provide transparent reporting on performance against operating plans. The team operates in a dynamic environment with stakeholders across geographies, requiring strong collaboration, crisp communication, and high ownership. This role partners closely with Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Technology and Product leadership to drive disciplined forecasting, actionable reporting, and rigorous business cases that support strategic product delivery. You will help leadership optimize spend, improve productivity, and strengthen controls through process simplification and automation/AI where appropriate.
As a Vice President within the PXT Finance team, you will lead a small team supporting a critical portfolio. You will serve as the finance lead across portfolio expenses (direct and allocated), roadmap and book-of-work prioritization, ongoing budget, headcount and investment planning, while acting as a trusted advisor to Technology and Product leaders on investment decisions, productivity, and execution trade-offs. The role requires strong analytical judgment, comfort challenging assumptions, and the ability to translate complex financial drivers into executive-ready insights.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead portfolio expense management across direct and allocated costs, ensuring investment decisions align to strategic priorities, delivery capacity, and measurable business outcomes, including AI and efficiency initiatives.
- Own budgeting and forecasting cadences, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and downstream impacts to the operating plan, and driving timely decisioning with stakeholders.
- Deliver reporting, variance analysis, and executive-ready narratives to senior leadership, highlighting changes in key business drivers and their implications for plan performance and delivery commitments.
- Build, maintain, and oversee financial models and business cases for technology and product initiatives, spanning both recurring and ad hoc analyses that support prioritization and funding decisions.
- Set the standard for strong financial governance by evaluating and enhancing controls, streamlining processes, and introducing automation and AI where appropriate to improve quality, cycle time, and scalability.
- Oversee end-to-end hiring and location strategy for the portfolio, including target setting, ongoing changes, approvals, and reporting, in close partnership with leadership and HR stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain allocated expense methodologies, mappings, and billing keys, ensuring transparency, consistency, and auditability in cost attribution.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, building strong relationships across Finance, Technology, and Product, and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of recurring and ad hoc initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of financial analysis/planning & analysis and/or product owner experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with strong judgment, a strong work ethic, and a fact-based, results-oriented approach, including the courage to ask tough questions and challenge the status quo.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic environment with tight timelines, while maintaining strong attention to detail and control discipline.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, concise insights for senior leadership.
- Advanced quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to design business reporting that is clear, consistent, and decision-useful.
- Strong technical skills with advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel and PitchPro and AI tools (Copilot, LLM, etc.).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience supporting portfolios in a technology and product environment or a line or business.
- Experience with business applications such as Essbase, Copilot, Other AI tools.
