As a Financial Analysis Executive Director on the Firmwide Marketing Finance team, you will be responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g. dashboards), and advising the line of business CFOs on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.
You will be responsible for one of our key financial measures such as revenues, expenses, headcount, or profitability modelling, where you will be expected to deliver value-added financial reporting and analysis, and assist with strategic direction and decision making. You will be expected to provide leadership across the FP&A teams, and interact regularly with the FP&A Managers, the line of business CFOs and peers across Finance & Business Management and the business.
Additionally, you will be responsible for driving forward our key roadmap priorities within firmwide marketing - including measurement, reporting/dashboarding, and efficiency. Delivering against these priorities with robust analytical & and “outside the box” thinking skills, be able to prioritize and manage time effectively, build strong P&L understanding of the firm’s different businesses, while also developing strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create, standardize, and drive a consistent valuation framework for non-acquisition marketing campaigns across CCB
- Lead financial budgeting, reporting, forecasting and analysis
- Engage and drive Media measurement plan
- Create consistency and transparency into firmwide reporting, working with the LOB teams to achieve the desired future state of reporting and enhance controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
- Develop efficiency reporting, analytics and strategy - including, but not limited to - location strategy, span of control, reporting and analytics
- Create financial business cases supporting business initiatives for every dollar of marketing spend
- Develop regular look backs into marketing business cases to ensure we are delivering against expectations
- Develop and track performance metrics, creating presentations, and generally providing financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management
- Oversee the process to deliver month-end results, the forecast for the remainder of the year, and the budget for future years.
- Perform variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and presenting commentary to FP&A managers and line of business CFOs explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets.
- Help design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
Required Qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Economics
- 10+ years of financial analysis and/or business management
- Strong problem solving skills
- Team management experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated prior experience delivering value at scale and influencing across highly matrixed and complex organizations
- Outstanding interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively across functional teams with the ability to communicate and engage people at scale
