JPMorganChase is seeking an Executive Director to join Firmwide & Corporate Communications, focused on business resiliency, incident response, crisis management and security communications. In this role, you will help define how the firm communicates before, during and after disruptive events—protecting our people, supporting business continuity, preserving trust and enabling leaders and employees to navigate uncertainty with clarity.

As a Head of Resiliency and Security within Corporate Communications you will operate confidently across complex, time-sensitive and high-stakes issues. You will partner closely with leaders and stakeholders across multiple functions, regional teams and line-of business communications to drive clear, timely and coordinated strategies that support the firm’s response to incidents, operational disruption and emerging risk. As a highly collaborative, strong writer whom is calm under pressure and an effective adviser to senior leaders—you will be able to assess risk quickly, translate complexity into practical guidance and align stakeholders across a global, matrixed organization.

Job responsibilities

• Lead corporate, internal firmwide communications strategy for resiliency, incidents, crises and security-related matters that may impact employees, operations, workplaces or reputation.

• Serve as a senior counselor to key partners (e.g., Global Security, Global Real Estate, HR, Technology), shaping decisions and messaging in fast-moving environments.

• Direct communications through disruptive events, balancing speed, accuracy, judgment and care as facts evolve. • Develop executive-ready communications and materials for internal and external audiences (e.g., employee updates, executive messages, talking points, Q&As, holding statements, manager guidance, intranet and stakeholder content).

• Establish and maintain crisis-readiness infrastructure, including playbooks, templates, escalation paths and scenario-based messaging to enable consistent, rapid activation.

• Coordinate across communications and control partners to ensure alignment, accuracy, approvals and localized execution with firmwide consistency.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• 10+ years in corporate communications, crisis/issues management, internal communications, public affairs or related disciplines, with significant senior advisory experience.

• Track record supporting complex, regulated or high-stakes environments (e.g., financial services, government, security/emergency management, risk, technology, operations, legal, professional services).

• Demonstrated ability to advise senior executives and influence outcomes across a matrix with multiple stakeholders and approval points.

• Exceptional writing and message-development skills; able to simplify technical/operational topics into clear, employee-centered communications without amplifying concern

. • Strong judgment and discretion handling confidential, sensitive and reputationally significant matters under time pressure and ambiguity.

• Operational rigor: ability to build readiness materials, run workstreams, manage competing priorities and drive clarity in coordination-heavy situations.

• Flexibility to support urgent matters outside standard business hours when needed
