Join a national real estate delivery team shaping modern, safe, and healthy spaces for customers and employees. You will help strengthen day-to-day execution by bringing structure to communication, governance, and operating cadence. You will partner with leaders, finance, and service partners to surface issues early and keep delivery moving. Your work will improve how teams plan, track, and report progress across a large, multi-vendor program. This is an opportunity to make execution more transparent, consistent, and scalable.
As a Retail Design and Construction Business Operations Associate on the Retail Design and Construction team, you will support the end-to-end management of external service partners and operating routines that enable reliable, high-quality execution across a national delivery program. You will help us keep leaders informed and teams aligned through disciplined communication, governance support, and operational follow-through. You will partner with colleagues across design and construction, finance, and project accounting to improve how work is planned, tracked, and reported. You will also help strengthen data quality and reporting hygiene so we can make faster, better-informed decisions.
Job responsibilities
- Draft and package leadership updates with clear outcomes, key risks, and decisions needed
- Support development of business unit review materials, including data validation and narrative synthesis
- Document procedures, maintain templates, and support standardization of design and project management processes
- Monitor adherence to controls with partners and support capital planning investment tracking and submission readiness
- Support process execution for funding, payments, invoicing, and approvals
- Partner with project accounting to track timeliness and accuracy, monitor exceptions, and help resolve breaks
- Maintain and analyze staffing plan inputs with service partners and the project management office
- Prepare capacity and trend materials for leadership reviews, including assumptions and recommended actions
- Build agendas, pre-reads, action logs, and decision trackers for recurring leadership and staff forums
- Track follow-ups to ensure clear ownership, accountability, and closure of actions
- Identify tool and reporting friction points and support improvements, including basic data governance and definitions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3 years of experience in real estate, design and construction, project management, business operations, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with budgets, invoices, forecasts, and key performance indicator reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting executive-ready updates and facilitating working sessions
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across vendors and internal stakeholders, including enforcing standards and escalating when needed
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn proprietary project management systems quickly
- Demonstrated ability to execute in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives, including documentation, controls, workflow redesign, and key performance indicator reporting
- Familiarity translating business needs into requirements for tool and report enhancements and delivering iterative improvements
- Comfort partnering with technology teams, including basic understanding of integrations, application programming interfaces, and data flows
- Demonstrated success aligning diverse teams to clear outcomes and producing concise leadership materials
