JPMorganChase Alternative Investment Services delivers high-quality outsourced administration and banking services to alternative asset managers and institutional investors. We enable clients to focus on investment performance and growth while we provide scalable operating infrastructure, investor servicing, and strong risk and control discipline supported by secure, market-leading technology.

As a Vice President in the HFS Investor Relations team, you will lead a small team responsible for delivering end-to-end investor relations and investor servicing activities primarily for Hedge Fund Services clients, with secondary coverage of Private Equity vehicles. You will be accountable for client experience, operational excellence, risk and controls, and continuous improvement across investor-facing processes. You will serve as a senior escalation point for complex client and investor matters, partner closely with Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, KYC/AML, Operations, Product, Technology, and Controls, and drive a culture of high performance and accountability.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own service delivery for a portfolio of HFS clients and their investors, acting as the senior point of contact for escalations and complex requests.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with client stakeholders; lead service reviews, communicate proactively on deliverables, risks, and operational performance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver a consistent client experience across HFS servicing and (as applicable) PE vehicle support.
  • Lead onboarding, transitions, and scope expansions (e.g., new funds/vehicles, investor populations, share classes/structures) in partnership with implementation teams.
  • Oversee investor transaction processing and lifecycle servicing, ensuring timely and accurate execution across subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, distributions, investor static data maintenance, and supporting documentation.
  • Drive resolution of complex breaks and exceptions, including root-cause analysis and remediation to prevent recurrence. Ensure peak-cycle readiness through planning, prioritization, and resource coordination; establish clear SLAs and delivery standards.
  • Ensure processes are executed in accordance with JPMorganChase risk management policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements, including KYC/AML-related obligations.
  • Lead a strong control environment (maker-checker discipline, reconciliations/QA, issue management, documented procedures) and act as an escalation point for risk items.
  • Support internal/external audits and control testing; ensure findings and action plans are addressed promptly and sustainably. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual touchpoints, improve data quality, and strengthen controls through standardization and automation.
  • Partner with Product and Technology on system enhancements, change initiatives, and data migrations; translate business needs into clear requirements and support implementation adoption. Leverage operational systems and reporting to monitor service quality, drive transparency, and identify trends.
  • Mantra: Utilize Mantra to support investor servicing workflows and reporting; prior experience with Mantra is a plus.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: Typically 6–10+ years of experience in investor relations / transfer agency / hedge fund operations / alternative investment servicing, with demonstrated ownership of complex client delivery and escalation management.
  • People Management: Demonstrated experience managing and developing a small team (or strong acting-lead experience with clear coaching/mentoring responsibilities).
  • Hedge Fund Knowledge: Strong understanding of hedge fund structures and investor servicing lifecycle; comfort supporting secondary PE vehicle requirements as needed.
  • Risk & Controls: Proven ability to operate in a controlled environment, identify and mitigate operational risk, and drive disciplined issue management.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence across Operations, Product, Technology, and Controls and engage credibly with client stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); strong comfort with operational systems and data/reporting tools.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience supporting both hedge fund and private equity servicing models (or broader alternatives platform exposure).
  • Experience leading process improvement and/or technology change initiatives (automation, workflow redesign, data migration).
  • Mantra experience (workflow processing, data maintenance, reporting, or oversight) strongly preferred.
