As an AI Governance Associate on the Strategic Artificial Intelligence Governance and Enablement (SAIGE) Team, you will support firmwide governance initiatives and regulatory implementation efforts that enable responsible adoption of artificial intelligence technologies. You will help track and assess legal and regulatory changes, coordinate implementation planning, and support responses to regulatory inquiries and examinations. You will work with partners across functions to gather inputs, develop materials, and keep key workstreams moving with clear ownership, milestones, and deliverables. You will also help improve reporting and technology-enabled solutions that strengthen governance execution and oversight.

Job responsibilities

  • Support execution of artificial intelligence governance, regulatory implementation, and legal and regulatory change management initiatives across the firm
  • Assess emerging artificial intelligence regulations, regulatory guidance, and industry developments to identify impacts to governance frameworks, operating models, and business processes
  • Contribute to legal and regulatory change management activities, including requirement tracking, impact assessments, implementation planning, and execution support.
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, examinations, supervisory requests, and internal governance forums, including information gathering and analysis
  • Develop reporting, dashboards, and materials that support governance, change management, and legal and regulatory change management activities
  • Partner with stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Technology, and the lines of business to drive alignment and facilitate implementation
  • Manage projects and workstreams by clarifying ownership, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables
  • Identify and advance improvements to governance processes, reporting capabilities, and technology-enabled solutions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus at least 3 years of experience in governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, or project management
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML techniques, including generative AI (LLMs) and agentic AI (tool-using agents/workflows)

  • Experience working with data analysis, reporting, dashboards, or technology-enabled solutions
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including tracking dependencies and delivering against timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting clear updates and stakeholder-ready materials
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across functions and influence without direct authority

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience supporting regulatory examinations, regulatory requests, audit activities, or governance reporting
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Alteryx, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory change management processes
  • Familiarity with regulations and standards impacting artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
  • Experience translating business or regulatory requirements into reporting, process, or technology solutions
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing competing priorities
