Head of Digital Strategy, Corporate Responsibility

JPMorganChase Corporate Responsibility (CR) leverages the firm’s business, policy, research, and philanthropic expertise to strengthen communities and lead economic growth. Corporate Responsibility Communications is seeking a communications leader to drive CR’s digital strategy across the department, strengthening how we engage priority external stakeholders through owned channels and demonstrate thought leadership across business priorities and initiatives.
As the Head of Digital Strategy, Corporate Responsibility within Corporate Communications you will lead the development and execution of a cohesive digital strategy – including email marketing channels and web presence – that connects audiences with compelling content, insights, and impact stories. In addition, you will have direct and matrixed managerial responsibility and will work closely with the JPMC enterprise web team, technology partners, and external agencies, as well as partners across Corporate Responsibility, communications, and marketing to deliver a best-in-class digital experience. You will be a communications leader with deep digital expertise; strong editorial and audience instincts; the ability to translate complex ideas into intuitive, engaging digital experiences; and experience navigating a complex and matrixed organization and managing competing stakeholder priorities.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and lead an integrated digital communications strategy for Corporate Responsibility, connecting web, email, and other digital touch points to Corporate Responsibility’s broader communications and stakeholder engagement objectives.
- Establish a clear audience and user-experience strategy across digital channels, using stakeholder needs, user behavior, and data to inform content architecture, user journeys, and calls to action.
- Translate complex programs, policy priorities, and initiatives into clear, compelling digital content and messaging for internal and external audiences.
- Own the strategy and roadmap for Corporate Responsibility’s digital presence, creating an intuitive and cohesive experience that effectively communicates the firm’s work, insights, and impact to priority audiences.
- Oversee Corporate Responsibility’s email strategy and end-to-end execution, including audience segmentation, editorial planning, campaign development, testing, distribution, and performance optimization.
- Serve as Corporate Responsibility’s lead partner to the firm’s corporate web and digital teams, defining business requirements, prioritizing enhancements, and ensuring Corporate Responsibility’s digital strategy aligns with enterprise standards, governance, and capabilities.
- Partner across Corporate Responsibility, stakeholder and content strategy, JPMC web and technology, and marketing and communications teams to ensure alignment and coordinated execution.
- Maintain standards and governance for Corporate Responsibility’s digital content, including editorial quality, user experience, accessibility, brand consistency, and ongoing content maintenance.
- Contribute digital communications requirements to the department’s evolving CRM capability (e.g., audience strategy, journeys, measurement), in partnership with relevant platform and operations teams.
- Regularly assess performance and stakeholder feedback to refine strategy and enhance Corporate Responsibility’s digital capabilities, including new tools, platforms, and approaches that improve audience engagement, content delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Lead, develop, and mentor direct reports and provide strategic direction to matrixed partners.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 10+ years of experience in digital communications, digital marketing, corporate communications, public affairs, or a related field, including significant experience leading digital strategy in a complex organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and lead alignment across diverse teams in a matrixed environment.
- Experience partnering with centralized web teams on website strategy and execution, including information architecture, user experience, content strategy, and digital storytelling.
- Exceptional editorial judgment and demonstrated ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling, and accessible content for different audiences.
- Strategic judgment and a track record of advancing organizational priorities through communications.
- Proven ability to influence and lead outcomes across a highly matrixed organization, including partnering effectively with senior leaders, communications partners, subject matter experts, designers, and technology teams.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience developing high-performing team members and leading through influence.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Digital policy advocacy campaign experience.
- Strong expertise with email communications programs and publishing operations, including audience segmentation, campaign strategy, editorial planning, testing, and analytics; familiarity with Salesforce Marketing (or similar platforms).
