Data is essential to how the firm manages risk and delivers outcomes. This role leads a high-visibility data lineage delivery effort by driving governance, orchestration, and consistent execution across multiple teams. You will partner with business, technology, and control partners to align plans, manage dependencies, and remove blockers. This is a hands-on leadership role with broad firmwide impact.

As an Executive Director, Data Lineage Delivery Lead in the Firmwide Chief Data Office Strategy and Execution team, you will lead delivery for the first tranche of a firmwide data lineage program and drive a coordinated delivery model across stakeholders. You will own the integrated roadmap and be accountable for sequencing, trade-offs, and decision-making across business teams, technology teams, and control partners. You will mobilize governance, drive alignment on completion criteria and implementation evidence expectations, and remove blockers through escalation and structured working sessions. You will provide consolidated progress and risk reporting to senior stakeholders to support timely decisions and execution.

You will establish execution discipline and enterprise transparency through standardized planning, reporting, and governance routines. You will ensure delivery artifacts support consistent execution and traceability expectations where applicable.

Job responsibilities

  • Mobilize and run a firmwide governance model, including steering forums, working sessions, cadence, decision-making, and escalation paths.
  • Align stakeholders on delivery approach, completion criteria, and implementation evidence expectations to enable consistent outcomes.
  • Clarify scope boundaries and engagement model with related initiatives and stakeholders.
  • Translate program outcomes into an integrated roadmap with milestones, dependencies, sequencing, resourcing constraints, and clear ownership.
  • Consolidate business and technology plans into a single integrated view and manage critical path, trade-offs, and required decisions.
  • Standardize planning and reporting processes, templates, and routines to improve transparency and reduce manual effort.
  • Own program controls and hygiene, including risks, actions, issues, decisions, dependencies, and escalation preparation.
  • Establish measurable success metrics and outcome-based reporting, including consolidated progress and risk views for senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure delivery artifacts support auditability, traceability, and evidence expectations where applicable.
  • Partner with data, technology, and control partners to define priorities, resolve constraints, and support transitions to production.
  • Lead design workshops and working sessions, influencing stakeholders across a matrixed environment.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Ten years or more of relevant industry experience, including senior program leadership for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale programs across multiple organizations and technology teams, including senior stakeholder governance and escalations.
  • Proven experience delivering data lineage programs, including building and managing integrated roadmaps across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and run governance, decision-making, escalation, and execution cadence in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to manage tight timelines and drive accountability to measurable outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, including the ability to communicate complex topics succinctly.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify blockers early, drive resolution through structured problem-solving, and escalate effectively when needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Familiarity with data lineage capabilities and tooling, including data cataloging and metadata management solutions.
  • Technical knowledge of data management or governance, big data platforms, or data architecture.
  • Master of Business Administration or other advanced degree.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry data risk frameworks, where applicable.
